Why these are free
Most of what goes wrong in a workers' compensation premium audit is decided before the audit starts. A payroll report run in the wrong format, a missing quarterly filing, a subcontractor nobody collected a certificate from — none of these are hard problems, and all of them are expensive once the audit is underway.
These tools exist to move those decisions earlier. There is no sign-up and no email capture, because a tool that holds its answer hostage isn't useful to the person who needs it or to the carrier who might want to send it to their insureds.
